What age groups can join the academy?

We currently accept players in three categories: 8 – 10 years old, 10 – 12 years old and 12 – 14 years old.

Do players need previous soccer experience to enroll?

No. Our programs are designed for beginners, intermediate, and advanced players, so everyone is welcome.

Who are the coaches at Lions Soccer Alabama?

Our instructors are FIFA-certified coaches and experienced professionals who focus on both technical skills and personal development.

What types of training programs are offered?

We provide a wide range of programs, including skill development, tactical awareness, physical conditioning, goalkeeper training, and leadership building.

Does the academy focus only on soccer skills?

No. While technical and tactical training is key, we also emphasize discipline, teamwork, respect, and leadership to form well-rounded individuals.

Are there opportunities for competitive play?

Yes. Players will have opportunities to participate in league matches, tournaments, and seasonal camps (summer and winter).

How do parents register their child?

Simply go to our “Join the Academy” section, complete the online registration form, and submit it. You will be contacted with next steps.

Is there a medical clearance required to join?

Yes. Parents must inform us of any allergies or medical conditions, and injured players must have medical clearance before returning to play.

What makes Lions Soccer Alabama different from other academies?

Does the academy provide nutritional or fitness guidance?

Yes. We include nutritional tips, performance evaluations, and conditioning programs to help players improve strength, speed, and endurance.
